Lais Andrade
Lais is a Brazilian director, writer and visual artist. The main elements of their dramaturgy are autobiography and migration.
In Lais’ work, they have addressed the issues of migrant greenhouse workers from their community, the process of legalization of their family and the memory of the transatlantic slave trade across the concepts of spiral time and critical fabulation.
–
In CDCD, they will explore the impacts of colonialism on the daily lives of migrant people in Portugal, like themselves with a hybrid film. From the heritage of slavery, to our relationship with work and housing, through a regenerative process of collective artistic creation. Lais is highly motivated to work and create art in countries outside of Europe, such as Ghana.

The digital reflection titled Vivenda Saudade, created by Laís Andrade, resonates with and responds to the experiences gained during her one-month residency at La Bonne in Barcelona, Spain. It not only reflects on the residency itself but also extends into the post-production phase, exploring the ongoing processes and transformations that follow the residency experience.
