The Museum of Memory and Human Rights is a publicly financed museum that addresses the difficult legacy of the Chilean dictatorship (1973-1990). Along with its main exhibition of objects and archives and research centres, it fosters an effervescent program of cultural and educational activities, which includes contemporary art exhibitions, symposia, and theatre and dance presentations. It aims to foster an ethical reflection about memory, solidarity, and the importance of human rights from a contemporary perspective.
