Supported by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union,
CONTESTED DESIRES: Constructive Dialogues (CDCD) seeks four
International Experts for
its
Ethics Advisory Group. This three-year arts and heritage programme, in which the experts’ engagement is necessary for the period from June 2024 to December 2026,
addresses the legacy of European colonialism through contemporary art across 11 countries, including the Netherlands, Italy, and Ghana. CDCD engages artists in exploring the impacts of
colonialism on modern cultural identities, connecting museums, research centers, universities, and cultural producers globally. The Ethics Advisory Group will ensure ethical engagement
with artists and communities, guiding the programme’s activities.
Key tasks include participating in six working group meetings, attending workshops, and developing an
ethical framework. Meetings will be held online and in-person in locations such as Rome, Italy, and Larnaca, Cyprus. Travel and accommodation costs are covered by the programme.
Professionals from the cultural field, including academics and visual artists with expertise in socially engaged arts, heritage, identity constructs, environmental
justice, and anti-racism, are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in English and experience in developing ethical frameworks are essential.
